Information, not advice on your situation
The pages on this website describe our services and explain how immigration and notary processes generally work. They are written for the typical case. Your facts may be atypical, the rules may have changed since a page was written, and an application that normally succeeds can still be refused. Nothing here is advice about your particular matter until we have looked at your documents and confirmed the advice in writing.
No relationship is created by visiting
Browsing this website, filling in a form, or sending us an email does not create a lawyer-client, notary-client or consultant-client relationship, and it does not oblige us to act for you. Details are in our relationship page. Until a relationship exists, please do not send confidential information.
Deadlines do not pause
Immigration and court deadlines are set by legislation, a tribunal or a court order, not by us. Contacting the firm, submitting an inquiry, or requesting a booking does not suspend, extend or satisfy any deadline. If a date is close, telephone +1 (613) 263-8043the same day and tell us the exact deadline and what it relates to.
Online signing has limits
The online workspace captures a signature and writes it into your PDF. Many recipients accept that. Others require more: an oath or declaration taken before a Commissioner of Oaths, a notarial certificate, identity verification against government-issued photo identification, or an apostille/authentication. Those steps are not automatic and cannot be produced by a form alone. Confirm the exact requirement with whoever asked for the document before you sign, and ask us if you are unsure.
Third parties and translation
A document signed here may still be rejected by an embassy, employer, bank or court if it is incomplete, if the signature must be witnessed in a particular way, or if a certified translation is required. We are not responsible for a third party’s decision, and we do not guarantee an outcome of any application, referral, hearing or authentication.
Currency of information
Immigration rules are revised frequently. We try to keep the site current, but we do not promise that every page reflects the rule in force on the day you read it. Verify any rule that matters to you with us before you act on it.
