Oaths, Affidavits & Statutory Declarations

  • Commissioning affidavits and statutory declarations, solemn affirmations and oaths.
  • Common uses: OSAP affidavits, vehicle transfers, custodianship declarations, guarantor forms.
  • Documents must be signed in the presence of the notary or commissioner — in person or by approved video call.

Notarization & Document Certification

  • Notarization of documents for use in Canada and abroad.
  • Certifying true copies of original documents, where authorized.
  • Witnessing signatures on agreements, powers of attorney and statutory forms.
  • Bring originals — copies cannot be certified without the source document.

Documents for Use Outside Canada

  • Notarization of documents intended for submission to foreign authorities.
  • Invitation letters and supporting declarations for visitors, students and workers.
  • Guidance on authentication and apostille procedures through Global Affairs Canada and provincial officials.
  • Certified translation guidance where a document is not in English or French.

Document Drafting & Preparation

  • Drafting and preparation of letters, standard agreements and affidavits tailored to your situation.
  • Consent letters for travel with minors.
  • Declaration and attestation letters supporting immigration applications.
  • Review of documents before execution so they are completed correctly the first time.

Mobile & Appointment Notary

  • Scheduled appointments so you are not left waiting.
  • Attendance at hospitals, care facilities and workplaces where required.
  • Clear fee, identification and preparation requirements published before you book.

Two ways to attend

In person. Attend the office with your original documents and identification.

Online. For documents that permit it, sign during a recorded video session with our commissioner.

What to bring — identification

  • One piece of government-issued photo identification (passport, driver's licence or permanent resident card).
  • For commissioning, the person signing must attend in person or on the approved video session.
  • Original documents are required for any certified true copy.
  • If a document is not in English or French, bring a certified translation.

Fees, authentication and acceptance

Notary fees are quoted per document type at the time of booking, together with any disbursements for authentication or courier. Ask before you attend — we will not surprise you at the counter.

Documents intended for use outside Canada may require authentication by Global Affairs Canada or the relevant provincial authority, and some countries require legalization rather than an apostille. We can guide you through the correct route, but acceptance is always decided by the receiving authority.

Before you travel or submit, confirm with the recipient that a notarized or electronically signed document will be accepted in the form we produce.
